On March 6, 2012 Hilo Toastmasters will spotlight eight club members-four speakers and four evaluators. This event will substitute for our regular meeting. We are fired up and look forward to hearing some awesome speeches and evaluations. Ours is a club where member practice public speaking in an atmosphere of acceptance and assistance. We also encourage our members to move forward working towards personal and club goals.
Our membership is growing! Last report was 27 and we have several new members not on the roster yet.
Hilo Toastmasters Club is celebrating our 60th Anniversary, this June.
We are planning an exciting event to show appreciation of our clubs successful history.

IIImprov Empowers Toastmasters
Nine Hilo Toastmasters, under the direction of teacher Judy D., are becoming more empowered, taking more risks, using their creative skills while having fun. These workshops in comedy improv and playback theatre guide participants towards personal growth and social awareness. Members report that the experience with improv strengthens their speaking and leadership abilities.
